United Kingdom, Sept. 22 -- Octavia Spencer has responded to the news that her show Ride Or Die has been axed after just one season, insisting that "projects like this shouldn't be the exception, they should be the rule".

The 56-year-old actress starred opposite Hannah Waddingham in the Prime Video series, and plays the Ted Lasso star's best friend, who has no idea that her pal is actually an international assassin.

Despite having positive reviews, it was announced on Monday (21.09.26) that Prime Video didn't renew the series, so Paramount Television Studios are now looking for a new home for the show.

However, Octavia seems unsure that the programme will be picked up elsewhere, as she took to Instagram to reflect on the cancellation....
