United Kingdom, Aug. 20 -- A new Billy Joel documentary features an AI-generated version of the singer in his younger years.

The film - 1971: Billy Joel's Lost Interview, directed by Adam Ripp - will premiere on the opening night of the Long Island Music Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) Music Documentary Film Festival on September 25.

The documentary features authentic audio from Joel's interview on the That's Interesting radio show following the release of Cold Spring Harbor, his first solo album, but also uses AI technology to show Joel as a 22-year-old.
