United Kingdom, Sept. 28 -- Naomi Watts feared Billy Crudup would end their relationship when he found out she had gone through the menopause.

The Mulholland Drive star, 58, started suffering symptoms when she was in her mid-30s and has now revealed she became convinced Billy - who she started dating in 2017 - would no longer want to be with her after she told him her secret.

Speaking at the Zurich Film Festival in Switzerland, she revealed she was in tears during her first conversation with Billy about the menopause. She explained: "I was crying in the bathroom, trying to scratch off my oestrogen patch. I told him what was going on, so nervous, and I thought: 'He's not gonna want to be with me anymore!'
