United Kingdom, July 28 -- Miley Cyrus is plotting her return to acting as she would love to star in a "good old Shakespearean tragedy".

The pop singer rose to fame as a child actress - fronting teen sitcom Hannah Montana and it's movie spin-off - while she's also appeared in films including The Last Song, LOL and So Undercover. Miley has been focusing on music in recent years but she's hoping to return to the big screen and already has ideas.

In an interview with Splash star Daryl Hannah for Wonderland magazine, Miley was asked about her acting ambitions and she said: "Well .That's partly why I wanted to get in touch. I'd genuinely love to do both.
