United Kingdom, April 6 -- Melanie Griffith thinks Dakota Johnson's partner Role Model is "fabulous".

The 36-year-old actress has been linked to the 28-year-old singer - whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury - since December, with the couple recently pictured at Sir Paul McCartney's Los Angeles concert.

In a video shared by Deuxmoi, Melanie commented on her daughter's relationship, simply describing it as "fabulous".

Asked if they have her seal of approve, she added: "Of course [they] do."

Dakota - whose father is Miami Vice star Don Johnson - previously credited her mother Melanie for instilling a sense of confidence in her from a young age.
