United Kingdom, Aug. 24 -- Melania Trump had a passion for race cars when she was younger.

The 56-year-old First Lady - who is married to US president Donald Trump - attended the IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C. on Sunday (23.08.26) and she "loved every minute" of the race because its something she's been a fan of since she grew up in Sevnica, Slovenia.

Speaking during a live interview with Fox Sports commentator Jamie Little, she said: "When I was growing up, my father introduced me to races and to race cars, and he owned some incredible cars - [including] a Maserati, Cougar, Mustang, Mercedes. So he introduced me to the design of cars, and the mechanics, and also the speed."
