United Kingdom, July 27 -- Meghan, Duchess of Sussex shows her "love" for people through food.

The 44-year-old former actress - who has children Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, with husband Prince Harry - appeared on this weekend's episode of MasterChef Australia as a guest judge, and during her chats on camera, she told how cooking and food are her "love language".

She explained: "I think it's such a great way to connect. It's something that can feel sentimental and meaningful, and it's how I show my nurturing and love for my friends, family, and my kids."

The As Ever founder noted there can be a "lot of pressure in this kitchen" and urged contestants to try and "keep a sense of humour".
