United Kingdom, April 28 -- Megan Thee Stallion has quit her role on Broadway.

The 31-year-old singer has been appearing in a production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical and her run had been expected to continue until May 17, but Megan Thee Stallion has now confirmed she's stepped down two weeks early and her final performance at the Al Hirschfield Theatre in New York will take place on May 1.

In a post on Instagram, Megan Thee Stallion wrote: "Hotties, my last performance as Zidler in @moulinrougebway will be May 1. It's been such an honor to be part of thee Moulin Rouge family and I've met so many amazing people in this theater!
