United Kingdom, April 1 -- Megan Thee Stallion has been rushed to hospital after she became "very ill" during a performance on Broadway.

The 31-year-old music star was appearing in a performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City on Tuesday night (31.03.26) when she started feeling unwell so she withdrew from the show and was replaced by an understudy.

A spokesperson for Megan revealed she had been taken to hospital. A statement released to PEOPLE explained: "During Tuesday night's production [of Moulin Rouge! The Musical], Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated.
