United Kingdom, June 5 -- Tina Fey has likened ageing to "reverse puberty".

The 56-year-old actress thinks it's hard to really understand what it means to age until you go through it yourself.

The Mean Girls star told the Today show: "I feel like it's a reverse puberty in a way. It's like your body starts to change and be disgusting in new ways.

"When you're 12 or 13, you're like, 'Why am I so oily?' And now you're like, 'Why am I so papery?'"

Tina has enjoyed huge success during her career, starring in TV shows like Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock. And Tina admits that she's keeping an open-minded, optimistic approach to her future.
