United Kingdom, Aug. 24 -- Matthew McConaughey has shared the bizarre way Janet Jackson helped him quit smoking weed.

The Hollywood actor revealed he once smoked some particularly strong cannabis as he was preparing to drive to his birthday party but he ended up sitting in his car listening to Janet's song That's the Way Love Goes over and over before realising he was so late he had actually missed the whole bash.

In a video interview for Rolling Stone, Matthew said: "What a cool, groovy little tune. It's also the reason I quit smoking weed."
