United Kingdom, May 3 -- Matt Goss has told how fought off muggers who tried to steal his watch from his wrist.

The former Bros singer was out walking with fiancee Chantal Brown and their dog Reggie in London when they stopped to help two people who asked for directions, but the encounter took a dark turn when the strangers spied the gold Rolex timepiece on his arm.

Matt told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "We were approached by two people asking for directions.

"We were friendly and tried to help them, but when I pointed the way, they noticed the watch on my wrist.
