United Kingdom, July 15 -- Matt Damon has found "peace" in his new "phase of life".

The Odyssey actor - who has daughters Alexia, 27, Isabella, 20, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15, with wife Luciana - is trying to treasure the time he has with his younger girls now his older kids have left home and he has realised just how quickly time passes.

He told People magazine: "Having two older kids who are out of the nest and knowing how fast these final years go, we're trying to be mindful of holding onto what we can."

The 55-year-old actor has learned to accept the things he can't change or control in his life and to cherish the opportunities that come his way.
