United Kingdom, July 6 -- Mark Hamill has joked the reason he was absent from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's star-studded wedding was simply because he "wasn't invited".

Sharing a tongue-in-cheek message to congratulate the newlyweds after their high-profile celebration, the Star Wars actor, 74, posted the message on Instagram following the wedding of Taylor Swift, 36, and Travis Kelce, also 36, at Madison Square Garden on Friday, 3 July.

According to PEOPLE, around 1,000 guests attended the ceremony, with the venue transformed into what one source described as "looked like a forest", featuring ferns, trees and rows of white-covered seating.
