United Kingdom, April 10 -- Lucy Liu has been surprised by the impact of her Sex and the City role.

The 57-year-old actress made a brief cameo appearance in the hit TV show earlier in her career, but she still gets reminded of her role by fans.

The Hollywood star told Us Weekly: "It's so funny because a lot of people have come up to me. I think they didn't know, like, some people are watching it for the first time."
