United Kingdom, Sept. 30 -- Liam Gallagher has blasted Coronation Street star Charlie Lawson after he called Oasis "average".

The Wonderwall singer didn't hold back as he and the 67-year-old former Corrie actor - best known for playing Jim McDonald on the cobbles for various stints between 1989 to 2018 - got caught in a war of words on social media.

The row started when Charlie replied to a post on X on Tuesday (29.09.26), which read: "Alright, no sitting on the fence. Do you think Oasis are over hyped... or are they genuinely one of the best bands the world has ever seen?"

He shared the post, adding: "They are distinctly average."

Liam, 54, spotted the response, and couldn't resist his own reply as he wrote: "Like your f****** acting...
