United Kingdom, April 16 -- Lady Victoria Beckham has broken her silence on her estrangement from son Brooklyn and insisted she and husband Sir David Beckham have only ever tried to "protect and love" their children.

The 27-year-old chef shared a bombshell Instagram post in January in which he accused his famous parents of trying to control the family image, "bribe" him into selling the commercial rights to his own name and ruining his wedding to wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, and now the former Spice Girls singer has spoken out to stress all she and David ever wanted was to be the "best" possible mother and father.
