United Kingdom, May 16 -- King Charles was "greatly shocked" by the news a soldier has died after falling from his horse during the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

The unnamed man - who was part of the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery - fell at around 7pm on Friday (15.05.26) after exiting the arena, and though he was given immediate medical treatment, he sustained serious injuried and died at the scene.

The king, who was in atttendance at the show with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, planned to contact the soldier's family to share his "personal condolences".
