United Kingdom, April 11 -- Khloe Kardashian was "conned" into joining Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The 41-year-old star boarded the hit reality TV show in 2007, and Khloe has now revealed the instrumental role that Kris Jenner, her mom, played in the negotiations.

She told The Morgan Stewart Show podcast: "I never was like, 'Gosh, I gotta be famous. I need to be on TV.' Kourt and I, when we were approached to do the show by my mom and Kim [Kardashian], we said, 'No, we're not doing this show.'"

At the time, Khloe and Kourtney had just opened their fashion boutique Dash in Calabasas, and the pair were firmly focused on running their business.
