United Kingdom, June 25 -- Kelsey Grammer "would consider" entering politics.

The 71-year-old actor has "wrestled with" the idea of running for office as it will fulfil his sense of service to the US after not being chosen to serve in the Vietnam War despite having registered for the draft.

He told Us Weekly: "I would consider it. It would possibly tick that box for me, in terms of the service I feel I should have given to my fellow man - to my fellow countrymen - that I missed in the military.

"Maybe that would be the way to do it. I have wrestled with it."

However, Kelsey's ambitions are on hold as he wants to be present for his eight children.
