United Kingdom, April 24 -- Katie Price's ex-husband Alex Reid's mom has died.

Carol lost her battle with dementia on Thursday (23.04.26), and the 50-year-old former mixed martial artist heartbreakingly missed her passing by "two minutes".

Later that day, Alex announced his beloved mom's death in an emotional tribute shared on Instagram.

He posted multiple shots of him and Carol over the years with the caption: "Today I celebrate the life of the best woman in my life, my mum, who went to join my darling dad in heaven!

"I'm absolutely heartbroken, but have a sense of ease knowing you are peace now not in pain.
