United Kingdom, Feb. 27 -- Katherine Short was reportedly found dead behind a locked bedroom door with a suicide note and a gun nearby. According to law enforcement sources, the 42-year-old daughter of actor and comedian Martin Short, 75, was discovered on 23 February at about 6pm local time at her home after a friend contacted authorities because she had not "been heard from in 24 hours".

Sources have also now told TMZ homicide investigators reportedly responded to a call at her home in the Hollywood Hills, California, and ruled out foul play.

She is said to have been found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A representative for Martin confirmed her death in a statement to Page Six on Tuesday (24.02.26.)
