United Kingdom, Oct. 3 -- Kanye West spent "thousands upon thousands" of dollars on Pokemon cards this week.

The controversial rapper - who has North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, eight, and seven-year-old Psalm with ex-wife Kim Kardashian - took his kids for a private shopping trip to collectibles store LA Sports Cards on Wednesday (30.09.26), where he spared no expense in buying gifts for his "excited" brood.

A source told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "Kanye went to LA Sports Cards in Burbank with his kids Wednesday night. They shut the store down for him to shop. His kids were so excited.

"He spent thousands upon thousands on Pokemon cards for them and they were going crazy opening them up."
