United Kingdom, Oct. 13 -- Kacey Musgraves has roasted Kristi Noem for previously admitting to shooting her dog.

The 38-year-old country singer couldn't resist a brutal dig at the former Homeland Security secretary after the politician insisted she prefers Choosin' Texas hitmaker Ella Langley.

Noem, 54, had first taken aim at Musgraves after Democratic politician James Talarico - who is running for US senate - posted on X about attending her show in Dallas, Texas.

Replying to his photo with the singer, Noem wrote: "I'll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day. And if I'm choosin' Texas, I'll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico."
