United Kingdom, Oct. 6 -- Joy Behar has missed her fifth consecutive episode of The View as she recovers after suffering a painful on-set injury.

The 83-year-old host has been absent from the ABC daytime talk show since October 1 after she dislocated her shoulder after she "caught a heel backstage" the day before.

At the start of the show on Tuesday (06.10.26), 70-year-old moderator Whoopi Goldberg said: "Joy is still out and Ana [Navarro] is in with us today."

It comes after Sunny Hostin, 57, sat in the presenter's chair for the October 1 episode as Whoopi was away filming the Netflix movie, Women Like Us.

She explained: "So, Whoopi is still out filming a movie, and, unfortunately, our dear friend Joy dislocated her shoulder."
