United Kingdom, Oct. 2 -- Josh Hartnett couldn't walk for ten days while filming Verity.

The 48-year-old actor stars alongside Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson in Verity, the new psychological erotic thriller film, but Josh admits that he was struggling badly during the shoot.

During an appearance on the Front Row podcast, Josh shared: "It was food poisoning, but it was a terrible food poisoning. What it was is that I couldn't walk because my muscles had all seized up.

"It was really only about ten days that I couldn't walk, honestly."

Michael Showalter, the director of Verity, also has vivid memories of Josh struggling during the shoot.

He explained: "For most of the movie, when Josh isn't on camera, he's lying down being tended to....
