United Kingdom, Sept. 19 -- Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi is cancer-free.

The 38-year-old reality TV star - who is best known for her appearances on Jersey Shore - was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer earlier this year, but Snooki has now confirmed that she no longer has any evidence of the disease.

She told People: "As of right now, I am cancer-free. They got everything out."

Snooki described her recovery as "a long road" - but she's now feeling optimistic about the future.

The TV star said: "I avoided getting my pap smear for a long time. And once I finally went to the doctors, I feel like it's just been week after week of doing a procedure, then another procedure, and then a hysterectomy.
