United Kingdom, July 12 -- Jennifer Nettles was shocked to get an invitation to Taylor Swift's wedding.

The Opalite singer tied the knot with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden in New York last month and Sugarland lead vocalist Nettles, 51, admitted she was surprised to be among the 1,000 strong guest list, even though she and Swift have worked together in the past.

She told PEOPLE: "It all surprised me, because of course, no one knew anything. I guess people had - there were leaks here and there where people were guessing, but no one knew for sure where we were going until much closer to the time."
