United Kingdom, July 17 -- Jennifer Garner made some of her closest friendships on social media.

The 54-year-old actress - who has three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck - has become "very close" to people she has followed online and even found herself confiding in them via direct message about subjects she wasn't openly discussing with the people in her life.
