United Kingdom, April 14 -- Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty "didn't have the capacity or the language" to resolve their differences.

The 54-year-old actress and Shannen - who passed away in July 2024, aged 53 - were co-stars on Beverly Hills, 90210 for years, but Jennie admits that their off-screen relationship was turbulent.

The Hollywood star said on Fox: "We didn't have the capacity or the language at that point.

"Everything was happening so fast. We never really sat down and talked it out. But we were friends and then we would clash and then we were friends.

"We were young. That's what you do when you're growing up and you're in this competitive environment and the script is pitting you against one another, the media, the world, ...
