United Kingdom, March 25 -- Jay-Z believes good music requires an "honest" approach.
The 56-year-old rap star believes authenticity has been key to his success, and Jay doesn't intend to change his approach.
Asked to explain the hallmarks of a great Jay-Z album, he told GQ: "I don't know what I need to create currently that's going to fulfil me and make me happy because that's most important. I know I just got to be honest about what I feel and where I am.
