United Kingdom, July 21 -- Sex and The City star Jason Lewis was sleeping on "floors" and couldn't afford to buy food before his acting career took off.

The 55-year-old TV star - who landed his big break playing Jerry 'Smith' Jerrod in the show - worked as a model before he took up acting and he moved to Europe at the age of 21 to chase his dreams in the fashion industry but he struggled to lands jobs and found himself completely broke while living in Paris, France.
