United Kingdom, Oct. 9 -- Jason Isaacs has admitted there is "no question" his drug addiction would have killed him if he hadn't got sober.

The 63-year-old actor marked 28 years of sobriety this week, and has told how he was living "without hope" until he turned his life around, but rather than "celebrating" his journey, the White Lotus star simply wanted to show others they are not "trapped" by similar choices.

He said: "28 years ago today, I woke up having spent the night without drugs. That was the first time that'd happened for decades. And I've lived a life that's drug- and drink-free since.

"I'm not saying that to celebrate myself at all, I'm saying it in case this ever reaches anybody who thinks they're trapped, who thinks there...
