United Kingdom, Sept. 4 -- Jane Fonda is "not scared" of Donald Trump and insists he "can do nothing" to her.

The 88-year-old iconic actress is encouraging Americans to join the revived Committee for the First Amendment - a non-partisan movement dedicated to defending free speech, expression, and democratic institutions - after she relaunched the advocacy group in 2025.

Jane's late father, iconic actor Henry Fonda - who died in 1982, aged 77 - was a prominent early member when the committee was first established in 1947.

When asked if it has "become harder to speak out about things" since US President Donald Trump's "rise", she told Variety: "Not for me. No. I've had my life. He can do nothing to me. I'm not scared.
