United Kingdom, Sept. 16 -- James Ransone's widow has slammed the Emmy Awards for omitting him from their televised In Memoriam tribute.

The Wire actor took his own life last December at the age of 46 and Jamie 'Skipper' McPhee has hit out at the Television Academy, who organised Monday's (14.09.26) ceremony because he wasn't featured in a segment which honoured those in the TV industry who have passed away over the last year.

Referring to her husband by his nickname, PJ, Jamie wrote on her Instagram Story on Monday (14.09.26) night: "My husband @jamesransone was not acknowledged in memoriam at tonight's Emmys.
