United Kingdom, Sept. 16 -- Brad Pitt pretended to be Matt Damon to fool a delivery driver who recognised him when he dropped off his food.

The 62-year-old actor has shared an amusing tale where he gave his Ocean's co-star's name after being asked by the delivery driver - who fell for the ruse.

Speaking at a screening for his new movie Heart of the Beast, Brad said: "I started grabbing my food, and he goes, 'Tell me your name again'. And I go, 'Matt Damon.'

"And he is like, 'I knew it, dude. I knew it.' Yeah, I go, 'Yeah, tell your friends.'"

The delivery driver isn't the first person to confuse Pitt for Damon, as Fox Sports announcer John Strong got the movie stars muddled up during the FIFA World Cup final earlier this year.
