United Kingdom, Aug. 26 -- Busy Philipps feels "grateful" to be alive after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The 47-year-old actress was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February, and Busy has recalled feeling petrified at the time.

The actress - who has undergone successful surgery - told People: "I'm grateful that I'm alive."

Busy - who has daughters Birdie, 18, and Cricket, 13, with ex-husband Marc Silverstein - still remembers feeling "really, really scared and overwhelmed with emotion".

Busy's children both dealt with the health scare very differently, too.
