United Kingdom, Aug. 25 -- Hayden Panettiere's mother has called out "haters" telling her how to "mourn" her daughter's death.

Lesley Vogel, 70, has responded to those criticising her comments following the tragic death of the Heroes and Nashville actress aged 36, while Hayden's brother Jansen died aged 28 in 2023.

She told Good Morning America: "I would say to the haters out there, you don't have a right to tell me how I mourn the loss of my second child.

"That's my domain."

Elsewhere in the interview, she denied comments made by Hayden in her memoir This Is Me: A Reckoning, which was released in May.

In the book, the Scream star claimed that when she was 19 she told Lesley she didn't want her to manage her career anymore.
