United Kingdom, Sept. 23 -- Harvey Weinstein has been handed a 15-year prison sentence for the sexual assault of a production assistant.

The former movie producer was initially found guilty of sexually assaulting Miriam Haley and raping Jessica Mann, an aspiring actress, at his first trial in New York City back in 2020.

However, that decision, and his 23-year prison sentence, was subsequently overruled, after the New York Court of Appeals determined that he did not get a fair trial.

Weinstein - who worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood during his career - was convicted of sexually assaulting Ms Haley at a second trial in June 2025.
