United Kingdom, Feb. 10 -- Warner Bros Discovery think the Harry Potter revival series will be the "streaming event of the decade".

The studio is over a year away from releasing the first season of the new HBO adaptation of JK Rowling's iconic wizarding novels, but WBD streaming boss JB Perrette - president of global streaming and games - already has high hopes for the highly anticipated reboot.

Speaking to media in London at an event for HBO Max's European announcement, he said: "The scope of the production, the detail, meticulousness of what they're going through and what they've built takes theatrical to just a whole different level.
