United Kingdom, Sept. 15 -- Rhea Seehorn was overcome with emotion as she picked up her first Emmy Award on Monday (14.09.26) night.

The 54-year-old actress was recognised for her work on Pluribus with the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series prize, and she hailed playing Carol Sturka the "role of a lifetime" as she thanked showrunner Vince Gilligan.

Speaking on stage at Los Angeles' Peacock Theater, she wiped away tears as she quipped: "This is me on a beta blocker.

"Thank you Vince Gilligan for giving me not only the role of a lifetime, but for creating sets where we all get to collaborate and we are actually made to feel safe to take risks so that we get better as artists."
