United Kingdom, March 12 -- Ed Sheeran has described the day his wife was diagnosed with cancer as "the worst" of his life.

The 35-year-old singer's spouse Cherry Seaborn was pregnant with the couple's second child, daughter Jupiter, now three, when doctors discovered a tumour back in 2022, and Ed has reflected on the difficult time in their lives, which came just days after his friend and collaborator Jamal Edwards died from a cardiac arrhythmia.

Asked the best and worst days of his life, Ed said on Benny Blanco, Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco's Friends Keep Secrets podcast: "Cherry rang me up and said she had cancer. That was probably the worst day."

He noted the day came amid "the worst week" of his life because of Jamal's death. ...
