United Kingdom, March 14 -- Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have blasted claims made about them in a new royal book as "deranged conspiracy".

A spokesperson for the couple - who relocated to California after stepping down as working royals in 2020 - has stated that Tom Bower's forthcoming book Betrayal: Power, Deceit And The Fight For The Future Of The Royal Family has "crossed the line from criticism into fixation".

Extracts from the book - which is being serialised in The Times newspaper ahead of its publication later this month - feature a claim that Queen Camilla had told friends that Meghan had "brainwashed Harry".
