United Kingdom, April 22 -- Donny Osmond has remembered his brother Alan Osmond as his " "protector" and "guide".

The pop veteran, 68, shared an emotional tribute to his sibling and former The Osmonds bandmate following his death on Monday (20.04.26) at the age of 76 with Donny revealing Alan took his responsibilities as the eldest son serious and always looked after his younger brother.

In a post on Instagram, Donny shared a childhood picture of the pair and wrote: "This is one of the earliest pictures I have of my brother Alan and me.

"Even back then, you can see that he had his arm around me, watching over me. That's who he was. My protector. My guide. The one who quietly carried so much responsibility so the rest of us could shine....
