United Kingdom, Oct. 9 -- Dolly Parton sent a poignant message to the world in a video recorded shortly before her death.

The country superstar passed away on August 25 at the age of 80 after a secret battle with cancer and prior to her passing she filmed a video which was played at the CMA Foundation Music Teachers of Excellence event in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday (07.10.26).

The video was introduced by fellow musician Zac Brown, who told the audience: "Not long before we lost her, she recorded a special message for the teachers in this room. She took the time to speak directly to you and I can't think of a better way to begin this night.
