United Kingdom, Sept. 24 -- Dolly Parton's death has been followed by an increasingly bitter dispute between her longtime manager and the nephew she personally chose to announce her death, amid claims over how the country music legend's sprawling legacy should now be protected.

The singer, who died aged 80 after a brief battle with cancer on 25 August, had worked for decades with manager Danny Nozell, while her nephew Bryan Seaver had served as her head of security for more than 20 years.

Bryan was dismissed from that role last week before She's Alive LLC, the company overseeing Dolly's business interests and run by Danny, launched legal action accusing him of extortion and threatening behaviour.
