United Kingdom, Sept. 28 -- Denise Richards shared a photo of her "last hug" from Patrick Muldoon as she paid tribute to her former boyfriend on what would have been his 58th birthday.

The 55-year-old actress previously dated her Starship Troopers co-star - who died after suffering a heart attack in April - for almost five years and they remained friends and collaborators afterwards, and she admitted she is finding life "hard" without her pal.

She wrote on Instagram on Sunday (27.09.26): "This was our last hug saying goodbye..... if only I hugged you tighter and longer. We had just gotten off our flight from Scotland .. a whirlwind weekend with our starship troopers family.
