United Kingdom, Sept. 28 -- Dame Kristin Scott Thomas feels "conflicted" about having a facelift.

The Four Weddings and a Funeral star, 66, admits she's tempted to go under the knife because many people who have it done "look expensive" but she's worried cosmetic surgery has become too much of a "status symbol" and now is little more than a display of "wealth".

When asked if she feels the need to have surgery in a bid to maintain her acting career, she told The Telegraph newspaper: "I don't know. I mean, actresses such as Imelda Staunton keep on working, and I don't think she's ever gone down that road [of having cosmetic surgery].

"I don't think Maggie [Smith] ever did either. I suppose the question is to facelift or not to facelift. ...
