United Kingdom, May 25 -- Cynthia Nixon has paid tribute to her "butch" wife while marking their 14th wedding anniversary.

The 60-year-old actress took to her Instagram page to share a sweet snap of herself and Christine Marinoni, as she insisted that finding love with the education activist "was the best thing I ever did".

She wrote: "My wife Christine and I have been together for 22 years but today is our 14th wedding anniversary."

Cynthia, who has two children with ex-husband Danny Mozes and son Max with Christine, added: "Falling in love with Christine was the best thing I ever did (next to having our children).
