United Kingdom, Aug. 11 -- Cristiano Ronaldo has got married.

The Portuguese footballing legend tied the knot with long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez after almost 10 years together in a "private and intimate" civil ceremony in his home country on Tuesday (10.08.26).

A spokesperson for the couple told Us Weekly in a statement: "Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez were married today in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, and are now officially husband and wife.

"The ceremony was a private and intimate moment attended by their five children."

The news comes days after fans caused chaos in Madeira on Saturday (08.08.26) when thousands of fans were convinced the couple were getting married.
